Our Community Partners

Our Current Partners

True partnerships making a difference in our county

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

The Josephine County Foundation has followed the idea that Helen Keller spoke about. We have partnered with so many wonderful and inspiring businesses, community leaders, and political advocates. We have spent our first decade in serving our community doing amazing projects with and for many community partners. We look forward to serving our community with our loyal partners.

We celebrate our partners below. So many have hand in JCF’s success.

“Our community partners have been a backbone of JCF’s success over the years,” said Executive Director Chris Pendleton. “They not only have supported us financially but guided the students with amazing lessons of life.”

Donor: Arthur R Dubs Foundation

Arthur R. Dubs Foundation

The Arthur R. Dubs Foundation strives to empower youth; promote mentality, physically and spiritually healthy families; and inspire the love of wilderness areas. This makes them great partners for many of our programs, including Campus Closets, which are located in 9 schools throughout Josephine and Jackson Counties. Without the support of the Arthur R. Dubs Foundation, we could not support underprivileged students with school supplies, clothing, blankets, necessities and more.

Donor: Chaney Family Foundation

Chaney Family Foundation

The Robert and Frances Chaney Family Foundation has a vision for public safety providers to have the skills and equipment needed to protect and save lives, among others. This makes them a perfect partner for our Students Acquiring Firefighting Equipment (S.A.F.E.) Program. This program provides funds to 13 small fire agencies in Josephine and Jackson Counties for firefighting and medical equipment to help keep our communities safe.

Ford Family Foundation

The Ford Family Foundation believes that every person has the potential to succeed in life. They believe in the value of education, gainful employment and self-determination for all people regardless of the circumstances of their birth. It is this belief that makes us great partners in helping the youth of Southern Oregon in community service projects such as Student Enrichment. The Student Enrichment Program increases students’ interest in school by providing a wider array of education opportunities including: field trips, guest speakers, classroom supplies, and equipment for special projects such as music and vocational programs. Thank you to the Ford Family Foundation for their continued support in this area.

Meyer Memorial Trust

Meyer Memorial Trust is the largest supporter of our Graduation Assistance Program (G.A.P.) which is a mentorship program tailored to enable students to successfully complete high school and plan for a successful future after high school. Meyer Memorial Trust has a mission is to work with and invest in organizations, communities, ideas and efforts that contribute to a flourishing and equitable Oregon. Their support for this project is immeasurable and is changing the lives of Oregon youth.

Oregon Community Foundation

The Oregon Community Foundation is a great partner for our multiple community service projects including our Weekend Foods Program which feeds over 1,000 meals to local families every week. The Oregon Community Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of all Oregonians through the power of philanthropy. They work alongside donors, stewarding their priorities into strategic giving to support diverse communities across Oregon, creating lasting, transformative change. Thanks to OCF and their support, many youth and their families are a lot less hungry.

Us Bank

We believe all people deserve the opportunity to dream, believe and achieve. The building blocks of vibrant communities – a stable job, a home to call your own and a community connected through culture, recreation, and play – continue to be at the heart of possibility for all of us. Through U.S. Bank’s Community Possible Platform, we are dedicated to supporting our communities through responsive and humbled actions focused on addressing racial and economic inequities and creating positive and transformative change in our communities.

Donor: West Family Foundation

West Family Foundation

The principal focus of the West Family Foundation is to benefit children and families in the areas of youth enrichment, human services and other charitable causes in Southern Oregon. Thanks to the West Family Foundation we are able to support 13 small fire agencies in Josephine and Jackson Counties for firefighting and medical equipment through our (S.A.F.E.) Program- Students Acquiring Firefighting Equipment.
