The 2nd Quarter JCF Student of the Month is Donald Rogers! Donald is a senior at Hidden Valley High School.
Donald is being recognized for his community service in JCF and other school activities. Donald is also a two-sport athlete as he runs for the Cross Country team and the track team. He graduated from Hidden Valley with an Honors Diploma and 3rd overall in his class.
The activities Donald participated in: Coin Drive (4 hours), Pirate Booty Coin Drive (5 hours), Day of Service (5 hours), Pink Week (8 hours), Josephine County Fairgrounds Trunk & Treat (7 hours), Wild River Drive-in Movie (3 hours), Creative Creatures LEGO Camp (10 hours), Boatnik Brewfest (6 hours), and Art in the Garden (6 hours).
“I learned how to do a whole bunch of stuff that I have never done and can take with me into the real world,” said Donald who plans to attend Concordia of Portland to study Bible History.
He feels his biggest JCF accomplishment was taking the helm of Pink Week and making a presentation to Rotary.
“I would like to say to the others that hard work is worth it and you will be glad you did it. That’s all I can think of for accomplishments.”
